The Mimosa Kitchen and Bar brings you the glorious Cardiff Bay as the backdrop, with an ultra modern ambience and a diverse mix in terms of clientele. Barocco is also very trendy, with an interior that is the definition of opulence.

Pubs

Cardiff is a great place to enjoy a pint, whether you want a relaxed, traditional setting or something a little different. You don't generally have to look too far around the city to find a decent pub, but here are a few worth a shot anyway.

The Travellers Rest Inn in Caerphilly is the real deal in terms of a traditional Welsh boozer, with excellent hearty grub and conversation to match. The Roath Park on city road is the ideal option for beer lovers, with a great range and the option of a game of pool. Maltsters is a fantastically unique pub in Llandaff village, striking a balance between tradition and modernity in a seamless fashion. The Bunch of Grapes lies by the canal, and brings excellent beer and cider choices to your evening. The Fox and Hounds is similarly popular among beer lovers, and is a local favourite.

Clubs and Live

Cardiff's nightclubs play a range of musical styles and genres, so you'll find whatever you're into in one of them. Bogiez is a legendary spot to get rock and metal thrills, with a long reputation within the city. 411 Entertainment run accessible, fun music nights determined to bring you only the best in musical terms. The Wow Bar is a famed, or infamous depending on who you ask, gay club venue with a long standing reputation for making noise. The Globe is a great place to enjoy live music if you're around the Albany Road area, and also provides some tempting cocktail recipes. If you like a tried and tested chain, try the Tiger Tiger complex of bar and club spaces.
